Sundays are for Rest

Sunday is a time of rest, and we did just that today. No work, all enjoyment.....with friends and family.

Our day started out at Westside Christian, which is right around the corner from D&D's house. After a morning of worship and a thought provoking message, we made a quick stop at Ralph's to grab a few things for lunch.

I was smiling the whole time (and was thankful that everyone let me) while I made sandwiches for us to chow on while we hung out on the couch and watched some TV, listened to music, and played a little bit on the computer.

In the late afternoon, we took just another short trip around the corner to Dayna's parents for dinner. It was a whole crew of folks....both of her sisters were in town, her parents, the 4 of us.....we sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the rest of the sunlight for the day together, Her dad, Kent, cooked up some awesome steak strips, potatoes, and salad with some amazing croutons (hee hee!!).

The evening ended with me and Dayna hanging out on the couch, good old fashioned girl talk, while the boys went to pick up Dave's car. We didn't even realize that they'd been gone so long, until they walked in. They made up some silly story about being gone so long because they had to change a flat tire, but it turns out they were just doing the same....well, good old fashioned boy talk, anyways....in the truck.

I've had such an amazing time with D&D here in Santa Monica. We've talked about then coming to Austin soon...and I sincerely hope that we can make that happen. If not as soon as we've been talking, then sometime soon thereafter. You guys are awesome, and I'm so glad that we got to hang out this weekend!!!
